In this episode we try to bring together the various ideas presented until now and make them look like they are actually one cohesive structure. And it sort of works if you don't pay too much attention... Attached here are some diagrams and explanations to help with the episodes content.

Wyatt & Hunter

Version 1 does something considered not smart: it tries to invade the other's private space. That almost always puts people on edge. Version 2 may be better since it is anchored in Wyatt's space and occupies the common space less. It still conveys the very unpleasant message that Hunter is a liar, but that (I think) is much easier to swallow when it lays in Wyatt's private space.

Billy & Tammy

Note that Billy had time to think before he provoked Tammy, and still he made no direct reference to the concrete agenda (maybe indirectly). Tammy on the other hand had to react, was already provoked, and still managed to keep most of the artificial agenda out of the exchange. Conclusion: Billy's really not the sharpest tool in the Montegue shed.

MBL & Billy

In the former two cases, the artificial was the escalating element, but here, where the concrete agenda is extremely dominant, the artificial considerations actually pull towards inaction, toward avoiding the common space. Naturally there can be no corretc representation of scale and weight.
